The operation of the bearing relies heavily on the lubricant, and the quality of the oil is critical to the operating efficiency of the bearing. Therefore, the choice of bearings should follow the following principles:
1. Movement speed. The higher the running speed of the bearing, the easier it is to form the oil wedge. In order to ensure the oil film, a low viscosity lubricating oil can be used. If the viscosity chosen is too high, the resulting impedance will be greater and the amount of heat will be higher, which will result in excessive temperature. At low speeds, the viscosity of the oil is required to carry the load, and a higher viscosity lubricant can be used.
2. Working temperature. When the temperature changes greatly, oils with high viscosity index can be used. When working under high temperature conditions, oils with high viscosity and flash point, good oil and oxidation resistance, and corresponding additives should be used. For low temperature conditions, low temperature oils with low viscosity, low moisture content and low freezing point should be used.
3. Working environment. In a humid environment or in an aerosol environment, oils with strong demulsibility, oiliness and rust resistance should be used. In dusty environments, dustproof seals should also be used. If there is a corrosive gas, the oil with good corrosion resistance should be selected.
4. Carrying load. The greater the bearing load of the bearing, the higher the viscosity of the selected lubricating oil, and the low speed and heavy load need to consider the ability of the oil to be allowed to carry.
The lubricating oil of the bearing needs regular maintenance. The suitable oil can improve the operating efficiency and reduce the wear of the bearing. Therefore, be careful when selecting the lubricating oil of the bearing to avoid buying inferior lubricating oil.
